I pledge to make my car a No Phone Zone. Beginning right now, I will do my part to help put an end to distracted driving by pledging the safest driving behavior I can commit to:

	I will not text while I am driving
	I will not text while driving and will use only handsfree calling if I need to speak on the phone while I am driving.
	I will not text or use my phone while I am driving. If I need to use my phone, I will pull over to the side of the road.

On January 18, 2010 Oprah Winfrey urged her viewers to take a pledge to make their cars a "No Phone Zone”. The City of Abbotsford has also adopted a No Phone Zone pledge to encourage citizens to eliminate the use of hand held devices in their vehicles.

“We want everyone to adopt this pledge,” says Abbotsford Mayor George W. Peary. “Today (April 30, 2010) I have issued a challenge to all other communities in the province to encourage their citizens to also take the pledge to make their cars No Phone Zones.”

The City of Abbotsford’s No Phone Zone pledge asks citizens to do their part to help put an end to distracted driving by pledging the safest driving behavior they can commit to. Do your part and take the pledge today.
